The Rigby Soccer Academy is excited to announce our 2nd annual soccer camp. The camp will be under the direction of UIC Head Women’s Soccer Coach Brian Rigby, and other top coaches within the Region. We look forward to welcoming you to the great city of Chicago, our UIC Campus and our Women’s Soccer Program.
This is an overnight and commuter camp for girls, who are entering 7th -12th grade, who would like to play at the next level. Training will replicate the game and our camp is designed to place the participants in a game-like atmosphere. Participants will get many touches on the ball and have the chance to work on creativity, improvisation and thought. The ball will always be the center piece of each activity. Each participant will work on patterns and movement of the ball, technical work, tactical functional training all within small to expanded sided games. Goalkeepers will have a curriculum to hone their keeper skills, along with also being incorporated into game-like situations. Every evening, a full sided 11 v 11 competitive game will be played.
We hope to see you at Flames Field this summer!
The UIC men’s and women’s soccer programs call Flames Field home. The facility that showcases the Chicago skyline opened during the fall of 1996 and underwent renovations, such as additional seating and lights in 2006.
Flames Field is considered to be one of the finest collegiate soccer fields in the Chicago area. The natural-grass and regulation-size field is located on the south end of the UIC campus, directly behind the Physical Education Building and was built specifically for varsity soccer.
